Manager, IP Design and Integration (MH-US-50021294)
The Role:
This high‑visibility leadership role puts you at the center of silicon development excellence. As the manager of our centralized IP Integration Digital Team, you’ll partner directly with product design leadership to shape strategy, define requirements, and drive execution across multiple in‑flight programs. You’ll collaborate closely with product managers and design managers to ensure your team consistently delivers high‑quality IP, on time, for some of our most critical products.
What You’ll Lead:
Your team is responsible for the characterization, integration, and verification of a wide range of IP—including 3rd‑party components as well as custom‑designed circuits such as OTP, NVM, custom I/O, de‑glitch cells, delay macros, and both dynamic and static level shifters.
You’ll guide a team that owns the entire lifecycle of custom IP, including:
- Transistor‑level design of custom IP blocks
- Characterization for timing and performance
- Partnering with layout teams to deliver clean, manufacturable silicon
- Working with chip designers to define specifications and integration requirements
- Developing Verilog models and deliverables for design and verification teams
- Ensuring seamless top‑level floorplan integration of all IP components
Skills You’ll Bring to the Team
- 10+ years of proven engineering leadership, guiding high‑performance teams and driving complex technical programs to success.
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related field), with strong foundations in advanced circuit design.
- Deep understanding of transistor‑level circuit simulation and design, with the ability to evaluate and optimize device‑level behavior.
- Strong grasp of power, performance, and speed tradeoffs in Digital IP design, enabling informed architectural decisions.
- Experience contributing to or guiding the development of ultra‑low‑leakage IP for mobile and IoT applications.
- Solid knowledge of layout principles, with the ability to provide direction and feedback to layout engineers to ensure high‑quality, manufacturable designs.
- Proficiency with Cadence tools—schematic capture, layout, and simulation—used throughout the digital and mixed‑signal design process.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to partner across design, product, and leadership teams.
- IBIS model generation experience is a strong plus and adds valuable system‑level insight.
