We are looking to grow our small IT team focused on supporting the hardware design teams at Cirrus Logic! You'll work closely with teams both within engineering as well as the broader company to deliver resilient Linux-based platforms and services, improve security and reliability through automation, and address engineering and security issues as they arise. In this role, you will join a team of senior systems engineers in a collaborative team environment!

Responsibilities

    • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in Linux platform management
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure and internally developed tools
    • Work with the corporate security team to design and implement solutions that provide a high level of security with minimal operational impact to engineering teams
    • Implement automation and scripting solutions to manage thousands of virtual and physical Linux hosts (infrastructure, workstations, and HPC)

Required Skills and Qualifications

    • BS in Computer Science or related field and 5-10 years of related working experience
    • Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues
    • Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet
    • Proficient in writing Python, PowerShell, Perl, or Bash scripts to integrate services and automate tasks
    • Familiarity with using Git to manage configuration and automation code
    • Experience provisioning and maintaining RedHat Linux and derivatives, including custom RPM packaging
    • Experience managing Jenkins controllers and agents for development teams and administrative tasks

Preferred Skills and Qualifications

    • Experience managing NAS appliances (NetApp, Pure)
    • Experience with HPC batch schedulers (LSF)
    • Familiarity with Apache, HAProxy, LDAP (Active Directory), consul, Prometheus, and Grafana
    • Understanding of networking protocols and experience with network-level troubleshooting
    • Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, Azure) and the automation tools used to interact with them
