Silicon Technology Manager
Cirrus Logic is seeking an experienced Silicon Technology Manager to lead the Silicon NPI team in support of mixed-signal product development. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between foundry process capabilities and the requirements of high-performance analog and mixed-signal design.
You will lead a team of engineers focused on solving complex silicon technology challenges across new product introduction, including safe operating area (SOA), design rule check (DRC) issues, device reliability, and process-related product risks. Success in this role requires strong technical depth, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to drive effective collaboration with foundry and internal teams to deliver solutions that meet performance, yield, cost, and schedule objectives.
What You'll Do
- Lead the Silicon NPI team in enabling successful mixed-signal product development from technology selection through production ramp
- Bridge foundry process capabilities with product and design requirements to ensure robust, manufacturable silicon solutions
- Guide resolution of critical silicon technology challenges, including SOA, DRC, reliability, and other process- or device-related product issues
- Partner closely with design, PDK, product engineering, and foundry teams to identify root causes, evaluate tradeoffs, and implement corrective actions during development
- Drive foundry engagement with clear technical priorities, measurable goals, and accountability to support NPI milestones
- Use data-driven analysis to improve technology decisions, product performance, yield, and cost efficiency
- Communicate technical risks, recommendations, and progress clearly to engineering stakeholders and executive leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Silicon Technology Engineers through coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance
What You Bring
- Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related technical field OR Ph.D. with a focus on semiconductor fabrication, semiconductor process technology, or solid-state device physics
- 10+ years of experience in semiconductor technology development, process integration, or fabrication environments
- 3+ years of experience in technical leadership and/or people management
- Strong knowledge of CMOS technology, including semiconductor physics, transistor architecture, device characterization, safe operating area, and reliability
- Hands-on experience in CMOS process integration, process control, and high-volume manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across design, PDK, product, and foundry organizations to resolve product development issues
- Strong organizational and project leadership skills, with the ability to drive external foundry partners toward timely, high-quality results
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical topics for non-specialist and executive audiences
- Proven people leadership skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing engineering team
