As a Field Applications Engineer, you will play a fundamental role in defining next-generation product solutions, including devices and sub-systems for Cirrus Logic's growing power regulation/power conversion business, ensuring devices meet customer requirements and provide outstanding performance. As part of this collaborative team, you will contribute significantly to our product roadmap by translating customers' needs into specifications used to guide the design of power devices. You will establish relationships with customers to understand their needs and effectively communicate these to sales management and product departments while working with internal partners to balance available resources and achieve maximum customer satisfaction.
 
Responsibilities
-Provide technical support for key customers, remotely and at customer sites to win and maintain accounts. Examples of technical support include assisting the design-in process by solving acoustic and electrical problems, answering product questions, reviewing hardware, and hands-on hardware debugging.
-Support customer with audio system designs, music playback and voice tuning.

Required Skills and Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Master’s degree preferred)
•Minimum of 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry
•Strong expertise in evaluating and analyzing audio products using hardware tools such as Audio Precision and Oscilloscopes
•Ability to conduct schematic and layout reviews using commercial CAD tools
•Experience with commercial PC projects involving IC products such as audio CODECs and smart amplifiers
•Solid background in board-level design and debugging of analog and mixed-signal audio circuitry
•Knowledge of speaker protection mechanisms and music playback tuning
•Hands-on experience with loudspeaker characterization and digital audio signal processing (e.g., equalization, filtering, noise and echo cancellation) is a plus
•Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Mandarin and English
•Understanding of audio signal processing algorithms and techniques is an advantage
