About the roles:
CQ is growing globally in US, UK, EMEA and APAC. Our Japan team, based in Tokyo, will scale significantly in 2021/22 with a number of new positions created to support the region in our client facing, scientific Quantum Software development teams and support functions. There is significant interest in quantum technologies in Japan. CQ has established relationships in Japan with Nippon Steel and JSR, as well as globally with Total, Roche and many others. In Japan, CQ has already fostered associations with the key quantum hubs in Industrial, Chemical, Pharmaceuticals/Life Sciences, Financial Services verticals and has close connections with leading Universities. Our work is focussed on long-term and meaningful research collaborations, to bring about the most impactful application of emerging quantum computing technology to the industry.
You will be joining a team of enthusiastic science and tech professionals that are using quantum algorithms to crack some of the most pressing industrial problems of our clients, that are leading companies in Finance, Life Sciences, Energy, Transportation, to name a few. In June 2021, CQ announced a merger with Honeywell Quantum Solutions (HQS), a Honeywell business unit and maker of the highest performing quantum computer currently available. Honeywell has been an investor in and commercial partner with Cambridge Quantum since 2019. The deal is intended to close in Q4 this calendar year and is subject to the satisfaction of certain regulatory approvals, and other customary closing conditions.
