Our Japan team, based in Tokyo, is scaling this year with a number of new positions created to support the region in both our client-facing and scientific Quantum Software development teams. There is significant interest in quantum technologies in Japan. CQ has established relationships in Japan with such scientific innovators as Nippon Steel and JSR, as well as globally with Total SA (petrochemical), Roche (pharmaceutical), and many others. In Japan, CQ has already fostered associations with the key quantum venues in Industrial, Chemical, Pharmaceuticals/Life Sciences, Financial Services verticals and has close connections with leading Universities. The Business Administration Associate will be responsible for handling daily finance, accounting, HR, public relations, external relations, legal, translation, and IT matters. Also ensuring CQ is compliant with all regulatory matters. As CQ is a growing company, this role will also help oversee other aspects of daily operations, and contribute to evaluating and driving new processes.
 
The candidate will have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and be especially capable in managing relationships (internally and externally). We are looking for a candidate who is dynamic & energetic. This role would suit a growing business analyst looking to leverage their previous experience, but is also eager to acquire new skills through extensive interaction with colleagues from around the world - and be on the cutting edge of scientific discovery and technology.
 

Key Responsibilities: Supporting CQ activities in Japan/APAC, you will:

    • Handle day-to-day finance, accounting, HR, public relation, external relations, legal, translation, and IT, ensuring compliance on all regulatory matters
    • 日常業務上発生する財務、経理、人事、広報、社外関係、法務、翻訳、ITを含む運用全般に対して対処
    • Help to scale the company by working with Human Resources to recruit, develop and retain skilled talent, 英国本社人事部門とともに人材採用・育成に貢献し、事業拡大に貢献
    • Translate press release and presentation materials from English to Japanese , プレスリリースやプレゼンテーション資料の英日翻訳
    • Be flexible and adaptable to take on new topics as the business grows, ビジネスの成長に合わせて柔軟に新しいトピックに取り組み、新しいスキルの習得にも積極的に取り組む

What You’ll Need:

    • Entrepreneurial mindset and passion for ownership of results, 新事業に対するチャレンジ精神、目標達成に対して責任感があること
    • Native-level Japanese (For translation, we place a particular emphasis on especially excellent Japanese writing skills), 日本語がネイティブレベルであること(翻訳作業に関し、特に優れた日本語の文章力を重視します)
    • Strong business-level written and spoken English, 英語がビジネスレベル以上であること
    • Excited about technology / Quantum Computing, テクノロジー、量子コンピュータに興味関心があること

Desirable:

    • Have experience to translate written English to Japanese
    • Have experience of administration
