Cambridge Quantum (CQ) is a global leader in quantum computing. Our software helps our partners, collaborators, and clients to solve the most difficult problems in their industries through quantum computing. Our focus is in the areas of quantum chemistry, quantum machine learning, quantum algorithms and quantum encryption.
Our cybersecurity division is developing a number of quantum-related technologies to enhance the security of our enterprise customers. This includes the world’s only quantum random number generator (QRNG) that uses quantum computers to produce perfectly unbiased entropy.
We are looking for a talented person with experience in Cybersecurity to join our growing Quantum Cybersecurity team. You will be engaging and communicating with potential clients about our disruptive and new Cybersecurity products. This position provides an amazing opportunity for you to develop and progress your career in an emerging sector that has the potential to dominate innovation across all aspects of commerce and government activity. CQ’s Cybersecurity team has developed a range of quantum technologies that enables an industry leading source of Certifiably Quantum Entropy. Deployment of this entropy in the cryptography space, is paving the way for new levels of information security, for now and a post-quantum world.
As someone who has a passion for cybersecurity, science and technology you will be engaging with clients directly about how our products can impact and help their business. You will be accountable for identifying potential clients, generating leads and filling the pipeline for the business development and sales team. This will be via a combination of direct and indirect marketing methods. You will spend time identifying/researching new clients and reaching out directly to them. You will then convert these introductions into potential leads/clients and generate interest in CQ’s products. Communication and competent soft skills are essential to be successful in this position. You will be part of a team (not a group of individuals) who highly value innovation, inclusion, diversity, and everyone’s contribution.

- Experience or a significant interest in Cybersecurity
- Graduates with a STEM degree preferred – but ambitious, bright, and energetic graduates with a first degree in other disciplines will be considered. Masters/ PhD will be considered a differentiation factor
- Previous sales or outreach experience
- Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential, especially when explaining technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- The job will be offered to someone who is articulate, dependable and a proven team player who can appreciate the full scope of the company’s ambition
- Our preference is for the candidate to be London or Cambridge based; other UK locations could be considered based on experience. some travel will be required

Honeywell has been an investor in and commercial partner with Cambridge Quantum since 2019. The deal is intended to close in Q4 this calendar year and is subject to the satisfaction of certain regulatory approvals, and other customary closing conditions.
