Cambridge Quantum (CQ) is a global leader in quantum computing. Our software helps our partners, collaborators, and clients to solve the most difficult problems in their industries through quantum computing. Our focus is in the areas of quantum chemistry, quantum machine learning, quantum algorithms and quantum encryption.
CQ is soon to open a new office in Munich, Germany which will serve as a key commercial and scientific hub and will play an important role in the development of our quantum science and technology in Germany and Europe. In 2020, the German Federal Government demonstrated its support by announcing €2bn of investment in quantum technologies as part of the stimulus package for the future.
In this role you will lead our business development and sales efforts and be the key point for CQ clients in Germany and the DACH region. Having become knowledgeable across CQ’s quantum products you will be responsible for communicating our unique value proposition to both technical and non-technical audiences. Working closely with our scientific and business development teams you will own the entire sales process from discovery through to closing engagements.
Day to day your activities will focus on identifying and developing relationships with some of the world’s largest global companies, research institutions and governments. You will also embed yourself within the various quantum communities, actively speaking at conferences, events and on social media to articulate the benefits and use cases of our technology.
This is a hugely exciting and unique opportunity to work with a world leader in quantum software and technologies. To be successful you will be someone who thrives with new technology and has significant experience of business to business sales in either software, scientific or cutting edge technology products. You will already have a strong network and will be well versed in managing sales processes with large complex national and multinational clients.
- A proven sales track record within B2B software, scientific and/or emerging technology products.
- Experience of selling solutions into large and leading global companies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in both German and English language
- Proactive self starter, who is hands-on in owning the end to end sales process.
- A team player, who can collaborate effectively with scientific and non-technical teams.
- A Masters degree, or equivalent, in Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Ideally, has experience or a strong interest in quantum or emerging technologies
