We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Training Manager to join our team. This role is instrumental in developing and enhancing the skills of our Customer Service department, as well as Business Development agents and Key Account Managers. Your mission will be to design and deliver impactful training programs focused on sales, communication, persuasion, and customer interaction.
You will collaborate closely with the Learning & Development (L&D) and Shared Services Center (SSC) departments, including the leadership teams to align training initiatives with business objectives, enhance product knowledge, and ultimately drive performance. Success in this role will be measured by improvements in key sales metrics, such as conversion rates and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Training needs assessment: Conduct thorough training needs analyses across Customer Service and Sales teams to identify skill gaps and performance improvement areas.

- Training materials & resources: Develop high-quality training materials, including guides, workbooks, e-learning materials, videos, and scenario-based role-plays.
- Performance measurement & reporting:
- Ongoing support & continuous improvement: Maintain ongoing communication with trainees and management to ensure continuous development and improvement of training programs based on feedback and performance metrics.
- Identify gaps in sales effectiveness and implement targeted training to improve conversion rates.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in sales and customer service training.
- Build tailored training programs from the ground up, with a strong emphasis on customer service excellence, persuasive communication, and objection handling.
- Align curriculum with strategic and organizational business goals and evolving customer expectations.
- Facilitate interactive, engaging, and hands-on training sessions in both classroom and virtual formats, ensuring clear communication and retention of learning among participants
- Coach individuals and teams on sales techniques, negotiation, consultative approaches, objection handling, deal closing and effective communication with customers.
- Implement methods to track training impact through KPIs such as post-training assessments, sales performance data and NPS scores.
- Report findings and recommendations to stakeholders regularly and adjust strategies as necessary to improve results.
Requirements
- Proven Experience: At least 5 years of experience in sales training or a related field, with a track record of successful training program development and execution, ideally with experience supporting customer service or call center environments.
- Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field. Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., CPLP, CPTM) are considered a strong advantage.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to motivate, influence, and inspire.
- Strong coaching, facilitation, and presentation abilities to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze training needs and outcomes effectively, with a keen attention to detail and organizational skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency in the latest educational technology and training software.
