We are looking for an experienced IT Support & Service Desk Administrator to join our IT Operations team in Luxembourg.

This is a newly created role designed to strengthen the team’s day-to-day support capacity and provide reliable backup as operations return to normal. In this position, you will support employees with IT-related requests, troubleshoot technical issues, help maintain workplace technology, and contribute to smooth IT operations across the business.

You will work closely with the IT Operations Manager and wider IT stakeholders to ensure that incidents, service requests, user access, equipment, and support processes are handled efficiently, professionally, and in line with internal standards.

The ideal candidate has solid experience in IT support or service desk administration, strong troubleshooting skills, a service-oriented mindset, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.

Responsibilities

  • User Support & Service Desk
  • Provide day-to-day IT support to employees, including handling incidents, service requests, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring timely resolution or escalation where needed.
  • Workplace Technology & Equipment
  • Support the setup, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, printers, meeting-room equipment, peripherals, and other workplace IT tools.
  • Onboarding, Offboarding & Access Support
  • Assist with IT-related onboarding and offboarding activities, including preparing equipment, supporting account and access setup, coordinating with relevant internal teams, and ensuring that IT processes are followed accurately.
  • Ticketing, Documentation & Process Follow-up
  • Record, update, and follow up on support tickets, maintain clear documentation of recurring issues and solutions, and contribute to knowledge-base articles, user guides, and internal IT procedures.
  • Operational Backup & Team Support
  • Act as a reliable backup for the IT Operations team, supporting day-to-day operational continuity, prioritising urgent requests, and helping ensure that business users receive timely assistance.
  • Collaboration & Escalation
  • Work closely with the IT Operations Manager and relevant technical teams to escalate complex issues, follow up on pending cases, and support continuous improvement of IT support processes.
  • IT Asset & Inventory Support
  • Help maintain accurate records of IT assets, equipment allocation, returns, replacements, and related documentation.
  • Security & Compliance Awareness
  • Follow internal IT security standards, access-management rules, and data protection requirements when handling systems, equipment, user accounts, and support requests.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 4+ years of relevant experience as an IT Support Administrator, Service Desk Administrator, IT Support Specialist, or in a similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across common workplace IT environments.
  • Experience supporting end users in a professional, fast-paced business environment.
  • Good understanding of IT service desk processes, ticket handling, prioritisation, escalation, and documentation.
  • Experience with user devices, operating systems, office productivity tools, access support, and standard IT equipment.
  • Strong communication skills and a helpful, service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to explain technical topics clearly to non-technical users.
  • Organised and detail-oriented working style.
  • Ability to manage multiple requests and shifting priorities.
  • Good level of English.
