Nicol Insurance is seeking an individual who is results-driven, success-oriented, to grow an existing book of business through referrals of existing clients and their own personal connections. If you are motivated by the opportunity to increase annual income through sales this might be the right fit for you.  Each file is managed by a team, one team member manages service-related initiatives, while the other will be expected to manage all aspects related to sales. You will proactively contact clients in order to generate new business, manage existing client needs and uphold high levels of retention.

The candidate would start by working with the team learning the industry and Nicol Insurance values and procedures, with the end objective to transition into the sales role to grow the book of business by writing new policies.

The ideal candidate will:

    • Develop leads, identify client needs and sell appropriate products and services 
    • Identify cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
    • Provide quotes and quote comparisons for existing and potential new clients
    • Manage relationships with existing clients
    • Manage renewal reviews and recommendations
    • Ensure retention targets are met
    • Manage the quality and timeliness of all policy documentation
    • Ensure compliance to established policies and procedures
    • Ensure prompt responses to all client inquiries
    • Utilize digital broker management system and company portals as required
    • Support your service team member as necessary

Traits we are looking for:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Microsoft Office 365
    • Windows Operating System
    • Strong computer skills or ability to learn and navigate computer programs
    • Verbal and written communication skills
    • Professional, enthusiastic, and personable
    • Adaptable and able to acquire new skills on an ongoing basis
    • Proactive and self-motivated with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
    • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team
    • Exceptional customer relationship management skills
    • Broker’s License is considered an asset
    • Customer service experience is considered an asset
