About the Role
We are seeking a seasoned Senior Web Python Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of scalable web applications. This role is integral to the success of our projects and requires deep expertise in Python, modern web technologies, and best practices for building high-performance systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Tech Lead to design, implement, and deliver robust, scalable, and maintainable technical solutions
- Actively contribute to project planning and estimation sessions, both internally and with clients
- Provide accurate time and effort estimates for assigned tasks and deliverables
- Decompose complex features into well-defined, manageable development tasks
- Optimize web application performance to ensure responsiveness, scalability, and a seamless user experience
- Participate in peer code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and consistency
- Mentor and support junior engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional growth within the team
- Champion clean code principles, software engineering best practices, and a culture of continuous improvement
Requirements
- Strong programming skills in Python web development with any of the following frameworks: Django, FastAPI, Flask
- Willingness to engage in full-stack development and contribute across the stack as needed
- Experience with version control systems (Git) and knowledge of CI/CD practices
- Familiarity with Docker
- Familiarity working with databases and ORMs (SqlAlchemy, Django ORM, Tortoise ORM, etc)
- Cloud platform expertise: Experience with at least one major cloud provider (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is fundamental, including an understanding of their services for building and managing applications
