About the Role

For our partner, a leader in the audio entertainment industry with 150+ million users, we are looking for a Senior Android Engineer.
We have an established team at AscentCore working on next-gen features for the infotainment sector of our partner’s business, connecting users to numerous features that make driving a more pleasurable experience through the awesome content shared by the company: music, news and podcast streaming, among others.

This role is open in locations where we'd like to expand our local communities: Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Iasi.


Responsibilities

    • Design, develop, test, and deploy Android-based solutions using common standards and frameworks
    • Deliver products to market by working closely with customers, engineering, design, and program management teams in an Agile environment
    • Analyse and/or contribute to software architecture
    • Perform code reviews
    • Write comprehensive documentation, making it easier for others to understand the code and the architecture decisions, facilitating smoother collaboration

Requirements

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in native Android application development
    • Advanced proficiency in Android and related development frameworks, tools, and technologies
    • Experience with Android Automotive OS is nice to have
    • Exposure to Android Open Source Project (AOSP) development considered an asset
    • Strong foundation in object-oriented design (OOD) and object-oriented programming (OOP) principles
    • Familiarity with Model-View-ViewModel (MVVM) architectural patterns
    • Experience working with streaming technologies is highly desirable
    • Demonstrated commitment to internal stakeholders and adherence to customer service best practices
