Due to exciting growth we are looking for experienced sales leader to join our sales team. An experienced sales manager you will be comfortable leading from the front and coaching and developing teams of agents to high success rates.

What you'll be doing:

    • Work closely with the Sales Director to align individual and team sales goals with the wider teams objectives
    • Collaborate with the partnerships team to understand our sales strategies and ensure the sales team is equipped to capitalise and close on opportunities
    • Set clear, measurable performance expectations and key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales teams and measure and monitor against them, taking proactive steps to rectify when targets are not being met
    • Contribute to sales activities and lead by example by dealing with customers and closing deals in the UK
    • Conduct regular audits of CRM data to ensure accuracy and completeness
    • Analyse sales data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement for the team

    • People Management - Drive sales excellence and be able to lead and manage to deliver high performing team(s)
    • Role model high performance, behaviours and skills required and engage the team effectively
    • Work with the recruitment team to accurately assess and attract top talent and pre/on-board new starters to set them up for success
    • Conduct regular 1:1's to monitor performance against delivery of targets and manage consistent over/under performance - effectively managing PIPs and recognise/reward high performance
    • Deliver continuous individual coaching, which will include call listening and feedback to stretch and develop the team to achieve individual KPI's and personal growth
    • Partner closely with HR to manage the effective resolution of a wide range of people issues making sure we balance people and company objectives fairly and minimise business risk
    • Clearly communicate and embed any changes in process or policy effectively

Skills and experience you'll need to be successful in the role:

    • At least 5 years experience in a management role, managing teams of at least 5 and a high competence in coaching and developing others to success in sales roles 
    • Proven track record of success in meeting sales targets
    • Experience with sales CRM tools (Hubspot would be advantageous but not essential)
    • Target driven and commercially astute
    • Excellent written and verbal English skills
    • Good numerical and analytical ability with strong experience producing and analysing sale reports
    • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Understanding of the difference between value and features

Working Patterns
We are extremely proud of our culture and believe in the many benefits that being in the office provides - all our roles require regular time in our office in the central business district in Cape Town.
 
We do not offer fully remote roles but we support hybrid working wherever possible (3 days in office, 2 days from home). However, to meet the needs of our customers and business operations many of our Operational and Commercial roles are fully office based.
