Position Summary
The Vice President, Global Brand Leader for Fabry disease will play a pivotal role in shaping the commercial success and strategic direction of Amicus’ Fabry disease portfolio. This leader will be responsible for developing and executing global brand strategies, managing the product lifecycle, and driving innovation to ensure sustained growth and market leadership.
 
 
 
This position emphasizes strategic brand planning, global performance management, cross-functional leadership, and developing strategies to improve diagnosis and identification of Fabry patients worldwide. The role requires a visionary, patient-focused leader with deep expertise in biopharmaceutical marketing and rare diseases, capable of thriving in a dynamic global environment.
 

Roles and Responsibilities

    • Lead the Brand Leadership Team (BLT), a cross-functional team accountable for development, alignment, and execution of the Fabry global integrated brand plan, acceleration of business priorities, and global brand budget.
    • Represent the BLT at the Global Business Steering Team (GBST), ensuring alignment of brand and program strategy with corporate objectives.
    • Develop and execute global brand strategies and tactical plans that align with corporate goals, emphasize differentiation, market growth, and improved patient identification worldwide. Ensure robust cross-functional collaboration and engagement from the U.S. business and key international geographies throughout planning and execution. Establish clear SMART objectives that cascade from the brand plan to guide country-level functional priorities and operational delivery.
    • Drive brand positioning, messaging, and promotional activities to enhance market presence, brand equity, and compelling differentiation.
    • Establish a cross-collaboration with the Patient & Professional Advocacy team to ensure the patient’s voice has primacy in planning and operations, placing the patient axis central to commercial plans.
    • Oversee market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, threats, and emerging trends in the Fabry disease landscape.
    • Build and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals and industry partners.
    • Lead and develop the Global Marketing Brand Team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and patient-centricity.
    • Identify, monitor, and analyze marketing performance metrics, adjusting strategies and tactics as needed to optimize results and achieve targets.
    • Lead strategic planning processes for label expansion, market expansion, and lifecycle management by conducting comprehensive market analysis and gaining alignment with executive leadership and regional commercial partners.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards, maintaining the highest ethical standards.
    • Champion digital innovation and leverage advanced technologies to enhance marketing effectiveness. 
    • Manage marketing budgets and optimize resource allocation for maximum ROI.
    • Represent Amicus at global conferences and industry events, positioning the organization as a leader in Fabry and rare disease solutions. 

Educational Requirements

    • Undergraduate degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred

Professional Work Experience Requirements

    • Extensive experience in biopharmaceutical marketing, with a focus on rare diseases.
    • Deep understanding of biotech industry dynamics, regulatory frameworks, market access requirements, and emerging market trends.
    • Progressive experience in global brand leadership within the biopharmaceutical industry, with a significant portion in senior leadership roles.
    • Experience in strategic planning, global product launches, commercialization, and driving brand performance.
    • Experience navigating a global organization with extensive cross-functional leadership responsibilities.
    • Knowledge of Fabry disease is advantageous.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead innovation and digital transformation initiatives

Travel

    • Hybrid; 3 days a week (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) in Princeton, New Jersey office
    • Ability to travel up to 30%

Compensation and Benefit Summary

    • he U.S. base salary range for this full-time position is between $318,500 and $350,000 year.  Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.  In addition to the base salary, employees may be eligible for various benefits, including health insurance, retirement plan (401K), paid time off, performance-based bonuses, stock options, restricted stock units, and other discretionary awards. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided during the hiring process.
