Job Description

Position Summary
·       Position Amicus as a company with an ambition to increase awareness of rare diseases and support healthcare professionals to shorten the path to correct diagnosis.
·       Be a trusted partner for all stakeholders involved in patient pathway to accelerate patient identification & referral to specialized centers in strong collaboration with the Key Account Manager (KAM) within territory.
·       Liaise with and educate customers and other relevant stakeholders to raise disease awareness and support them in recognizing symptoms of rare diseases of interest and, lower potential hurdles for diagnostic testing.
·       Support educational events and omnichannel campaigns in the region.

Roles and Responsibilities:
·        Validation of customer targets, engagement plan and action planning based on selection and prioritization in line with country strategy and in agreement with line manager
·        Virtual and face-2-face customer engagement through one to ones, group meetings, local/ regional educational events, congresses etc. with physicians managing the disease areas in which Amicus has an interest (both currently & in the future)
·        Improve disease awareness, patient screening, diagnostic testing, consent collection and collaborate with Key Account Manager regarding additional clinical data discussion and/ or referral for the potential use of Amicus products.  This will be through the delivery of key disease messages, compelling patient pathway information, initial product discussions, and trusted relationship building with agreed target groups.
·        Place invitations to and actively participate in local and regional educational and congresses
·        Inform about the importance of family screening in engagements with physicians to support patient identification
·        Achieve agreed engagement and patient screening targets for designated territory
·        Utilize CRM system and maintain data in a timely manner as defined as required.
·        Support a regular territory analysis and presentation in strong collaboration with Key Account Manager in order to develop an in depth understanding of customers and their referral networks and patient pathway. Identify dynamics, challenges and opportunities in patient identification
·        Ensuring a high level of therapeutic patient pathway and customer knowledge is obtained and maintained
·        Compliance with all company and local regulations, alignment with local Code of Conduct
·        Compliance with both the local jurisdictions legal, regulatory, professional and ethical requirements and/or Amicus standard operating procedures to ensure adherence with whatever is the most exacting standard
·        Implement the Amicus commercial strategy within agreed promotion and cost budget
·        Liaison and collaborative working with relevant internal staff (especially Medical Affairs) as required
 
Requirements
 
Educational Requirements
·       Degree qualified in Healthcare/Life Sciences (or equivalent) or relevant training as a certified pharmaceutical sales representative (in accordance with the legal requirements § 75 para. 2 AMG)
 
Professional Work Experience Requirements
·       Appropriate track record of success in hybrid or remote sales ideally within specialty pharma, rare disease and orphan drug with at least 2 years experience
·       Experience in disease awareness, diagnosis and referral structures preferred
·       Previous experience in the area of genetic disorders, rare diseases, cardiology, nephrology or neurology is a plus
·       In-depth knowledge of omnichannel and virtual engagement tools and methods for effective customer engagement preferred
·       Basic knowledge of country healthcare system, hospital as well as office-based physician business

·       Ability to work within a matrix organization and professionally manage multiple stakeholders Highly proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and CRM systems and e-detailing/ omnichannel platforms

Travel
·       This will be a hybrid position (mix of home-based and field-based work, up to 60% field based) at a location indicated in the Employment Contract
·       Valid driving license required
·        Willingness and ability to travel throughout country/countries with occasional international travel
