AEVI is looking for a Test Analyst to join our growing Quality Team in our Prague office.

The Role
We are looking for an established Test Analyst to join our Quality team who will be responsible for delivering testing services, either as part of a major strategic programme, ‘stand-alone’ testing service, development / upgrade project or for a small- scale project end to end.

You will focus on building knowledge and understanding of the assigned product or solution, and the effective application of this knowledge to support the assigned testing activities, these will include the creation of test scenarios and test cases, and the execution of manual and/or automated tests to ensure that the software created by developers meets standards/requirements prior to release to the customer.

It would be great if you came from a payments / processing background but we would also love to speak to people with solid experience within Software testing.

What you'll be doing: Test Analyst

    • To review functional specifications and customer requirements to identify issues for testing and use these as the basis for writing test scenarios and test cases
    • To produce test scenarios and test cases, including desired outcomes, for low complexity systems.
    • To create test data and specify the testing environment
    • To execute all levels of testing in line with the defined test plan and support other team members with their testing efforts, as required
    • To document and verify test results and record all defects/incidents encountered during testing
    • To ensure all defects are described with appropriate detail, communicated effectively to the relevant team members, and logged in the corporate defect management tool provided
    • To peer review test scenarios and test cases created by other team members
    • To liaise with other team members to better understand requirements and produce more effective test scenarios
    • To complete impact analysis of change requests and changing priorities
    • To participate in internal meetings and reviews to support the delivery, customer queries and represent QA function
    • To undertake peer reviews for test deliverables and to provide coaching and mentoring support to more junior testers
    • To ensure appropriate, comprehensive, and timely reporting of work, and early escalation of any issue, that may impact quality of delivery
    • To guide and support less experienced team members encouraging and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and overall work quality
    • To ensure all work meets the guidelines & standards defined for the team and the Company
    • To complete ad hoc duties and tasks allocated through line management chain from time to time

The successful AEVI'ator: Test Analyst

    • You will Ideally have ISTQB Foundation Level Certification or similar along with a Degree in computer science.
    • An understanding of payments and how cashless payments work end to end and/or an understanding of apps and app stores and how they work is desirable.
    • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
    • Proven experience of test delivery in assigned/relevant specialist area (payment processing application systems, agile environments, AWS, or similar cloud-based services, etc.).
    • Knowledge of tools and methodologies that apply to the assigned test area, project, or team (Cloud services, Agile framework, automation tools, database queries, EMV, etc.).
    • Experience of the use/management of automated testing tools/simulators is desirable.
    • The ability to communicate effectively in written and spoken English.
    • A high-level attention to detail with a good level of organization, analysis, and problem-solving skills.
    • The ability to build effective relationships and to work as part of a team with a pro-active approach to ensuring delivery.
