Content & SEO Manager
About the role
As a Content & SEO Manager, you’ll own Aevi’s content and SEO from start to finish: what we publish, why we publish it and whether it works.
You’ll turn the knowledge of our Product, Engineering, Sales and Partnerships teams into clear, well-researched content that ranks, gets read and helps our Sales and Partner teams win. Your work will make Aevi easier to find and understand for merchants, acquirers and partners.
Until now, much of our content and SEO has been handled by an external agency. You’ll bring this work in-house, drawing directly on our own experts and helping us set priorities week by week. Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, you’ll work closely with Marketing Operations, our Digital Communications Manager, our Senior Designer and experts across Product, Engineering, Sales and Partnerships.
Key responsibilities
- Shape the content plan and editorial calendar with the marketing team, using keyword data, performance results and input from Sales, Partnerships and Product.
- Interview subject-matter experts and turn their knowledge into blogs, web pages, whitepapers, proposition content, award entries and campaign copy.
- Research every piece thoroughly, check facts and figures, and cite credible sources, so our content stands up to scrutiny from technical buyers.
- Carry out keyword research and on-page optimisation, keep existing content up to date and make sure our content is visible in AI search and answer engines.
- Work with Marketing Operations and Digital Communications to turn each major piece into web copy, social posts and sales material.
- Track content performance with Marketing Operations and bring insights to our monthly performance review, so decisions on what to do more of, fix or stop are based on data.
Required skills
- Proven experience independently planning, writing and publishing B2B content, and owning its results.
- Experience writing about technical or complex subjects.
- Excellent written English, with the ability to explain complex topics clearly.
- Confidence interviewing experts and turning conversations into accurate, engaging content.
- Hands-on SEO experience, including keyword research, search intent and on-page optimisation.
- Thorough research and fact-checking skills.
- Analytical skills to read performance data and draw clear conclusions.
- Strong planning and organisation, with the ability to manage several pieces of work at once.
- Confident stakeholder management, including giving and receiving feedback.
- A degree in marketing, communications, journalism, English or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
It would be a plus if you bring
- Experience in fintech, payments, SaaS, point-of-sale or retail technology.
- Experience writing whitepapers, case studies or sales enablement content.
- Experience optimising content for AI search and answer engines.
- Experience with Semrush, Google Analytics, Google Search Console or HubSpot CMS.
- An SEO or content marketing certification, for example from HubSpot, Semrush or Google.
Location and travel
- This is a remote-first role based in London or Prague. You’ll work mainly from home and join the team in the office for planning days, workshops and expert interviews.
- Occasional travel to other Aevi offices and to industry conferences.
