Aevi is looking for a Business Development Director to join our growing team.

AEVI has created a unique platform that removes the restrictions of the formerly rigid face-to-face checkout process, allowing our clients to orchestrate the flow of payments and data across devices, channels, and territories.

As Business Development Director, you will create new partnerships between AEVI and our customers by helping them to understand how AEVI’s open and agnostic payments platform can enable them to fully digitize their face-to-face proposition and start offering truly holistic checkout solutions. 

We are looking for torchbearers, who can find their way through complex organizations to have meaningful conversations with their diverse counterparts across our client’s organization. A solution evangelist who combines business and payments acumen to deliver our message to both external and internal stakeholders.

What you'll be doing: Business Development Director

    • Own the full business development cycle from prospecting, partnership management to deal making 
    • Represent AEVI in competitive processes, and consultatively apply highly technical product knowledge from AEVI solutions 
    • Work with stakeholders from various functions (e.g. Engineering, Product, and Finance) to lead product workshops and skilfully move the business development process forward 
    • Engage with internal Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy 

The successful AEVI'ator: Business Development Director

    • Extensive experience in delivering technology driven products or services, preferably at a cloud-based, API-driven (fin)tech company 
    • A proven track record of moving business development processes forward by leading complex, multi-party teams in a highly consultative manner, understanding strategies, value propositions, but also limitations 
    • Knowledge and understanding of the payments industry and a keen interest in technology and business solutions 
    • Experience in platform sales, working with ePOS, platforms and/ or marketplaces 
    • Great listening skills and ability to quickly become a trusted resource for decision-makers across technology and finance orgs 
    • An ability to understand complex technical problems and understand how AEVI can address them. 
    • A positive, “can-do” attitude and persistent work ethic when encountering blockers to success, whether external or internal 
    • Strong presentation and superior verbal and written communication skills 
    • Ability to operate in a diverse, global and fast-paced environment 
    • Willingness to travel often and internationally
