Role Summary: As a Data Analyst and Developer at AEVI, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing our Data Platforms. This position requires a unique blend of engineering expertise and an analytical mindset. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the accuracy and efficacy of data feeding into our platforms, as well as its processing and display.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and manage AWS-based Big Data solutions (Apache Iceberg, Athena, QuickSight) that handle large volumes of data with minimal latency.
- Ensure code quality and maintainability through comprehensive unit testing and adherence to best practices.
- Engage in all software development lifecycle phases, offering technical insights and suggesting improvements for efficiency and functionality.
- Analyze, program, test, and debug complex Big Data applications, while developing reusable components for future projects.
- Convert designs into high-quality code and maintain detailed documentation for development and deployment.
Skills, Qualifications & Experience:
- Demonstrable experience with AWS cloud services and a solid grasp of Big Data technologies.
- Eagerness to learn within the AWS and Big Data ecosystems, with a strong team orientation and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications, with a knack for benchmarking and optimization.
- Proficiency in JVM-based languages, especially Java, with a deep understanding of Java core principles and design patterns relevant to Big Data.
- Interest in collaborative development, including code reviews.
- Proactive problem-solving attitude.
- Experience with cloud-based systems and knowledge of the payment/banking industry.
