As QA Team Lead, you’ll guide a team of skilled testers to ensure our solution is reliable and high-quality. You’ll be responsible for planning and executing test strategies, improving QA processes, and supporting your team’s growth.
This role combines hands-on testing expertise with leadership. You’ll work closely with all stakeholders to align testing efforts with business goals, and you'll implement new tools and ways of working using automation and AI.
This role reports to Head of QA.
This role will have up to 10 direct reports covering specific test areas.
Key stakeholders: Product Delivery Managers, Project Managers, Customer Services Managers, IT Operations
Key responsibilities:
- Manage End-to-End Testing Activities: Oversee all stages of testing across projects, including estimation, test planning, defining detailed delivery schedules and identifying dependencies and risks. Ensure test acceptance criteria are clearly defined and met.
- Ensure team readiness and capability: Plan resource allocation and skill coverage. Ensure team members have everything they need to meet testing requirements effectively.
- Drive delivery and quality outcomes: Monitor progress against plans, initiate corrective actions when needed, and ensure a smooth handover from testing to support and delivery teams.
- Represent QA in customer interactions: Act as the primary QA contact for internal and external customers, especially during on-site testing.
- Lead and develop the QA team: Coach, mentor, and manage team members to ensure high performance, motivation, and career development. Set clear objectives and regularly review progress.
- Champion tools and automation: Define requirements for testing tools and automation. Contribute to the QA automation roadmap, keep track of AI tools we can use to improve our work.
- Promote a company-wide quality mindset: Advocate for quality as a shared responsibility across teams. Foster a culture of company-wide collaboration and quality awareness.

- You communicate clearly in english, both in writing and speaking.

- You stay calm and focused under pressure.
- It’s a plus if you understand how digital payments or mobile apps work.
- Qualification:
- You should have a degree in computer science or a related field.
- A testing certification like istqb advanced level with agile extension is preferred.
- Experience:
- You’ve worked on testing in areas like fintech and payment systems, agile development, or cloud platforms such as aws.
- You’ve planned and explained testing approaches for complex projects under tight deadlines.
- You’ve improved how testing is done, making processes clearer and helping teams work better together.
- You’ve led teams made up of employees, contractors, and external partners, including remote contributors.
- You’ve used and managed automated testing tools or simulators.
- It’s a plus if you’ve built and maintained automated tests that save time or reduce costs.
