As an Operational Technical Support Engineer at Aevi, you will join a growing community of likeminded problem solvers passionate about highly available production environments. You will be developing your skills to help support a critical platform ecosystem within a dynamic Fin Tech environment.

What you will be doing: Operational Technical Support Engineer

    • Developing understanding of troubleshooting and triaging of hybrid cloud (AWS) infrastructure
    • Shift schedule covering a 24x7 shift pattern comprising of 2 days followed by 2 nights and 4 days off (this pattern falls over weekends and public holidays)
    • Providing monitor and alert against critical service architecture
    • Invoke the incident management process
    • Develop understanding of the interdependencies of the platform
    • Develop skills to drive incidents to mitigation
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to help facilitate productivity
    • Contribute to documentation evolution

The successful Aevi'ator: Operational Technical Support Engineer

    • Foundational computer science knowledge
    • Willingness to develop an understanding of customer centric decision making
    • Awareness of the use case of tools such as GIT, Grafana, Bitbucket, WildFly, Java, Docker, Zabbix, & Newrelic
    • Developing relevant practical programming skills (Python, Bash scripting etc)
    • Strong communication (verbal and written) skills
    • Ability to develop knowledge through workshops, SOPs and runbooks
    • Collaborative team ethic

It's a bonus if you have:

    • Payment industry experience, particularly in a client facing remit
    • TCP/IP networking knowledge
    • SQL / Aurora knowledge
    • Android application knowledge
    • Linux Administration skills
    • English fluency is required, other languages are beneficial
