The Client Engagement Manager works within the marketing department to support lead generation and prospection efforts by being the first point of contact to prospective customers. The overarching goal of this role is to drive and support relationships through initial and follow-up interactions from website forms, in-person and digital events, targeted new -account prospection and other marketing driven tactics. You will utilize an array of tools to look for and reach out to new prospective customers and contacts to engage, with the goal being to connect. A successful candidate for this position will be able to develop multi-touch outreach campaigns that engage potential customers to help them understand Abzena’s suite of capabilities. They will also need to be able to clearly articulate an understanding of the CDMO/CRO industry, be able to identify prospective customers, and be comfortable presenting on Abzena’s services.
Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound leads generated through various marketing channels, including email, LinkedIn, live chat conversations, and website submission forms.
- Qualify leads by understanding their pain points, budget, and timeline.
- Responsible for establishing necessary legal documentation to allow for progression of lead qualification activities
- Coordinate meetings with customers, Business Development and SMEs
- Build and nurture strong customer relationships.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date lead records and campaigns in the database
- Present on Abzena’s core capabilities on intro discussions
- Engage with field Business Development staff for development and execution of prospect lists and territory plans
- Execute targeting campaigns to support directed lead generation for identified capabilities or company/molecule profiles
- Support pre and post meeting outreach and follow up for conferences and events
- Support webinars and seminars with pre and post outreach campaigns
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve results.
- Assist in data collection, input and governance in the database
- Maintain professionalism and deliver exceptional customer service throughout the sales process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, or related life-sciences degree
- Minimum of 3+ years in a client facing role, preferably with a CDMO/CRO or life sciences/pharma company
- A high level of energy, creativity, and personal motivation
- Ability to analyze and present performance.
- Project management skills and understanding how to manage multiple customers and the priorities of multiple internal stakeholders in a complex environment, while still delivering in the form of engagement, leads and sales.
- Strong computer skills, including the ability to use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Outlook, CRM (Salesforce.com preferred), internet search engines and Abzena provided databases and subscriptions.
- Possible experience of other systems which integrate with CRM (e.g. Pardot, HubSpot) is a plus
- Must be very organized and comfortable with deadlines.
- Be results oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well in a fast-paced changing environment.
- Comfortable and effective at working individually and with a team on projects.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills is a must
- Excellent time management skills
- Able to collaborate effectively with other employees and managers to ensure teamwork.
£40,000 - £60,000 a year
