Position Overview:
As a New Business Development Executive, you will play a critical role in targeting new accounts, including businesses with revenues exceeding $500 million and Fortune 100 companies. Key Responsibilities, Supported by a dedicated team, you will:
- Develop and execute a strategic business plan for your territory, identifying key enterprise customers and connecting the benefits of Expana's platform to their needs.
- Ensure accurate forecasting, hitting monthly and quarterly revenue goals, utilising deep product and market knowledge.
- Creating detailed account-based sales plans and forecasts.
- Gaining comprehensive knowledge of our products and services to clearly convey their value.
- Conducting detailed demonstrations of Expana’s online platform.
- Negotiating contracts and closing business to meet your targets.
- Documenting and tracking all leads and activities in Salesforce.
- Managing a multi-state territory of over 100 prospects and actively building a pipeline through prospecting and relationship-building.
- Selling across multiple lines of business, including Procurement, Commercial, Finance, and Supply Chain
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in technology-based enterprise sales; experience in SaaS, data, or analytics is essential.
- Understanding of the supply chain, commodities, or market intelligence is highly preferred.
- A proven track record of consistently exceeding quota, ideally ranking in the top 10-20% of your previous companies.
- A self-starter mentality with a “hunter” approach to sales.
- Ability to build trusting relationships and instill confidence in our value proposition.
- Strong competitive mindset and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment while delivering results.
- Experience in selling to multi-billion dollar businesses and a history of exceeding annual quota targets.
- Familiarity with sales methodologies such as SPIN, Strategic Selling, Challenger Sales, MEDDICC, etc.
- A BA/BS degree or equivalent educational background.
