Join Expana’s editorial team as a Staff Writer and play a key role in delivering actionable news to our clients. In this temporary role, you’ll update content on our platforms, generate original articles, and monitor industry news. You’ll work closely with market reporters to identify trends, proofread content, and maintain high editorial standards. This is a great opportunity to enhance your writing skills and make a tangible impact in the commodities market.
Responsibilities
- Update and Create Content: Maintain and update news content on subscriber platforms and generate original news articles.
- Collaborate with the Team: Organize and lead team calls to select high-value content and discuss story ideas.
- Monitor Industry News: Track critical news through various sources and liaise with market reporters to highlight important trends.
- Ensure Quality: Proofread, fact-check, and edit content to meet editorial standards and style guidelines.
- Build Relationships: Maintain contacts within the industry and collaborate with internal teams to support client deliverables.
Skills and Qualifications
- A degree in journalism, economics, or a related field.
- Strong research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
- An inquisitive mindset with the ability to ask the right questions and gather essential facts.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn new applications quickly.
