About Expana
Expana turns complex food‑industry data into clear, actionable insight. Backed by leading private equity investors, we’re scaling fast across markets and building the foundations for our next stage of growth. Finance is central to that journey — and we’re looking for a VP of Finance who’s excited to build a modern, global function from the ground up.
The Role
As VP of Finance, you’ll shape the systems, processes, and team that support our international expansion. You’ll work closely with the CFO, leadership team, and investors to ensure we have the financial clarity, control, and insight needed to scale with confidence.
This is a role for someone who enjoys creating structure, improving how things work, and bringing financial intelligence to every corner of the business.
What You’ll Lead -
- Financial planning and insight — budgeting, forecasting, long‑range planning, and decision support.
- Reporting and governance — management accounts, board packs, investor reporting, controls, and compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
- Tax and structuring — tax compliance, cross‑border structuring, transfer pricing, and coordination with external advisors.
- Systems and data — implementing modern finance systems, automation, and dashboards that give clear visibility across markets.
- Treasury and cash — cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, working capital, and FX exposure management.
- Team leadership — building and developing a global finance team and partnering across the business with clarity and credibility.
What You Bring
- Senior finance leadership experience (VP Finance, Head of Finance, Finance Director or equivalent).
- Experience scaling finance functions in high‑growth or change‑oriented environments.
- Strong capability across reporting, planning, tax, and investor‑facing finance.
- Experience with tax structuring, transfer pricing, and cross‑border tax matters.
- Multi‑jurisdictional finance experience, including the US and UK.
- Treasury experience across cash management and FX exposure.
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
- Professional practice experience is relevant but not required.
We value clarity, curiosity, and momentum. We move quickly, communicate openly, and build with purpose. You’ll join a team that trusts people to lead, encourages experimentation, and supports growth.
Our Commitment to Inclusion
If you meet the core requirements and believe you can be effective in this role, we encourage you to apply. We welcome candidates from all backgrounds and provide reasonable adjustments throughout the hiring process.
